have you looked into low dosage pills or the nuvaring? the ring has the lowest amount of hormones of any chemical method. check it out!

Dude… Which would you rather do: Get acne from stopping taking the pill, or increase your risk for all sorts of cancers and stuff by continueing taking the pill?

Buy some Proactiv, stop taking the pill, and stop making a fool of yourself. A little acne isn’t worth risking possible death in the future.

no.. b/c if you do that then you are going to get break through bleeding and your menses is going to get messed up….. Ask you doctor about different strength of BCP…

Well, you know that there were side effects to hormones. I would ask my gyn for help about it.

I would not split the pill cycle. Maybe you just need to go cold turkey and deal with the acne and other effects.

As for veins, they are going to come whether you are on the pill or not.

For added security, go to your primary physican and explain this, maybe the food you are eating is triggering the acne. It could be that.

You should talk to your doctor. I don’t think weaning yourself off birth control would work. You probably need a different type of medication to control the acne.

depends on what type of pill you are taking. i would think that if you got off of one method and switched, you would still have the same problem when you try to get off of those. have you tried ane medication suh as proactiv. yes pills help your acne, but when you come off of them, because your hormones are changing back to where they were after five years of being tampered with, you are bound to have a reaction. maybe you should just stop birth ontrol all together if you want and focus on acne medications

Go see your doctor and get him to give you a refferrel for a skin doctor. I took these pills and BAM! no more zits. You may have to change your medication a few times. Cause some people adapt or its uneffective.

Things durning the day that can help you alot. Change your Pillow case every day. Wash your face everytime you goto the bathroom. Just splash water on your face and scrub it with a paper towel to dry it, hard. Don’t put your hands on your face. (Put an elastic around your wrist and snap it everytime you touch your face with your hand) When I’m by myself and I want to rest my chin on my hand I use my t-shirt. My dirty hand doesn’t touch my face by doing that.

after I used the medication for awhile I stoped using it. (6 months-2 yrs) Your doctor will tell you what to do. I still get zits every once in awhile. But nothing like before.
